Safe Search
The Service is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. That said, Veveo will attempt to exclude sites from our index which contain pornography or other explicit content. In addition, once Veveo makes the Safe Search option generally available, for those users who select Safe Search, Veveo will automatically apply a filter designed to prevent such content from appearing in our search results.
However, as no screening process or filter is completely accurate, Veveo cannot guarantee that it will be able to exclude all such sites from our index and to prevent search results from containing pornographic or offensive material. While Veveo will be diligent in trying to block such material, Veveo does recommend that a parent or guardian supervise the activities of any user under the age of 18.
Veveo encourages users to report any offensive content that may appear in search results. Users should contact Veveo at safesearch@veveo.net to report any of these occurrences. Veveo will examine these reports and determine whether to remove the offending site from our index and/or block the offending result. Additionally, sites which feel they have been blocked by Veveo incorrectly and wish to request reinstatement should contact Veveo using this same email address.
For more information on supervising childrens’ use of the Internet, Veveo encourages users to access the U.S. Department of Education’s “Parent’ Guide to the Internet” at http://www.ed.gov/pubs/parents/internet/index.html.
