vtap QuickSearch enhances Android device usability – content is gathered from the device, mobile web, 3rd party destinations (Fandango, Wikipedia, etc.) and app stores. This universal search and recommendation app predicts intent based on users’ learned preferences, providing fast, accurate results. When a user searches for a grocery store, vtap QuickSearch retrieves all stores within a set distance, showing the names of grocery stores (Stop & Shop, Trader Joe’s, etc.), phone numbers, and addresses while giving the option to call or map directions. What basic search does in five steps, vtap QuickSearch completes in two.
The more the app is used, the more intelligent it gets. When you search “coffee,” vtap QuickSearch knows you prefer Starbucks based on past selections and prioritizes those locations over Dunkin Donuts. vtap QuickSearch also puts all the things you access regularly (contacts, apps, settings, utilities) dynamically on a phone dashboard. Stop using them and they go away.
Most universal search applications search on-device and the mobile web for content. vtap QuickSearch yields deeper results because content is gathered from the device, mobile web, 3rd party destinations (Fandango, Wikipedia, etc.) and app stores. Search results are returned quickly and accurately because vtap QuickSearch knows users’ preferences and can predict search intent.
vtap QuickSearch is a free, downloadable mobile application. Because it is a search and recommendation app, it can be ad-supported. In addition, if the app is built into the phone by handset vendors instead of downloaded, more advanced functionality can be added – Nokia mobile phones currently embed vtap QuickSearch (with the Veveo OEM model).
